I like the original one better ..... this on does not have the same feeling that the other one gives you. I also like the color of the other glove against the bright blue ball. The other picture has a true feeling to it while this one just doesnt seem real against the dark black color....I just can't believe in this one. :(

clever....

I wanted to make this one so that the ball would really stand out. I kow it already does, but the browns of the glove are just such a downer, that I thought this would work better. I think if I used a black glove it would give me the right chemistry.

Yeah but the color brown is the right color because when i think of something i want to believe in i think of the one that is not sticking out at you the one who always comes in second place and brown just happens to come in second behind black. Black is the color that is sure of its self... kinda like a show off. So when you use a color like brown it has alot more meaning. maybe like the old glove that hasnt been used in a long time and you dont know how great its going to be but its just asking you to believe in it. And bamm .... it does better than the brand new black one.... but its just a thought.

hmm, i like this better as a picture than the other one. the composition's great and the black and blue really complement each other, giving a refined, crisp look to the shot.
but i think i agree with nette that the sophisticed edge the shiny black and blue lends to the shot also might take away something from the message you are trying to convey- to believe through the tough times (at least i think that's the message :D). it's easy to believe in the sleek, new glove, while the brown glove challenges you to have faith in something more ordinary.
maybe if you took this same shot with the brown glove? just a suggestion. but i like this one, i really do :).
